About the Founder

An entrepreneur and investor with a lifelong passion for technology and innovation, Carlos Cruz is the Managing Director of CruzControl Radius Inc., a digital marketing firm bridging creativity and AI-driven strategy. He is also an active investor in EzWorks and various venture capital initiatives across the United States and Canada.

His fascination with computing began on a TI-99, where he taught himself to code long before user-friendly interfaces existed. That curiosity led to a degree in Computer Science, earned back when programming meant feeding stacks of punched cards into massive machines. Yet, preferring people over punch cards — and a good tie over lab coats — he shifted naturally toward business.

After graduating in 1989, he joined Tandy Corporation, managing government accounts and discovering his skill for communication and relationship-building. By 1996, he entered the world of investment banking with Whalen Beliveau & Associates, and just two years later co-founded Next Big Thing Capital Inc., a funding firm for technology startups and SMBs. The company’s success led to its acquisition by a media group in 2002, after which he joined BNP Paribas Investment Bank to continue working on large-scale financial ventures.

In 2004, he launched CruzControl Radius Inc., merging his technical background with marketing insight to help brands grow in the digital era. Having authored sales and marketing programs for the financial industry and led high-impact PR campaigns before YouTube existed, he saw the future of marketing in integrated media and intelligent automation.

Today, under his leadership, CruzControl Radius operates with talented teams in the USA, Canada, and India, developing cost-effective digital strategies that deliver measurable, creative results.
